WE CMC1 stabilisation brace (code 6009)

This brace is designed to support the CMC1 whilst keeping the thumb in a functional position. The IP and MP1 joint remain free. The brace reduces pain and loss of strength. This brace is often applied in relation to Arthrosis and Rheumatism.

WE CMC1/MP1 stabilisation brace (code 6003)

This brace is designed to reduce the ROM of MP1 and CMC1 whilst keeping the thumb in a functional position using a minimal amount of material and pressure without losing comfort. Adduction of the thumb remains possible but effectively prevents hyperextension of MP1.If needed, the splint can be extended to also prevent overstretching of the IP joint.

This brace holds CMC1 and MP1 in a fixed position. Often applied in the case of arthritis.

WE MP1 anti-boutonnière thumb brace (code 6007)

The brace is applied to stretch the MP joint. And is fixed around the wrist with a silver chain. When an extra distal loop is added, the IP joint can be corrected against hyperextension.

This brace is used when the thumb deviates in palmar adduction. By wearing this brace the thumb comes out from the hand.

For stability and prevention of hyperextension of the MP joint, the WE MP1 stabilisation brace can be applied. The unique WE Design model prevents the brace from sliding off, however in some cases a silver chain can be added looping around the wrist.
