Thumb braces

We CMC1 stabilization brace (code 6009)

This brace is designed to support the CMC1 whilst keeping the thumb in a functional position. The IP and MP1 joint remain free. The brace reduces pain and loss of strength. This brace is often applied in relation to Arthrosis and Rheumatism. The brace is easy adjustable with a durable belt and silver buckle

We CMC1/MP1 stabilization brace (code 6003)

This brace is designed to reduce the ROM of MP1 and CMC1 whilst keeping the thumb in a functional position.  Adduction of the thumb remains possible but effectively prevents hyperextension of MP1. If needed, the splint can be extended to also prevent overstretching of the IP joint. The silver part around the wrist can be replaced by a nylon strap so that a combination with a wrist brace remains possible.

Especially EDS-related thumb problems are often aided by this type of splint.

We CMC1/MP1 stabilization brace (code 6008)

The We CMC1/MP1 stabilization  brace supports the thumb by fixating it in a functional position. The thumb is given rest and stability in both the MP1 and CMC1 joint. Optionally, the brace can be extended distally to also support the IP1-joint.

This brace is often applied in the case of Rheumatoid/Osteo Arthritis.

We MP1 anti-boutonnière thumb brace (code 6007)

This thumb brace is used for a boutonniere position of the MP1 joint and a hyperextension of the IP joint. The MP1 joint is held in extension and the brace is fixated around the wrist with a silver chain. To prevent the hyperextension of the IP- joint a swan neck ring can be added distally.

We anti adduction brace (code 6018)

This brace is used when the thumb deviates in palmar adduction. By wearing this brace the thumb comes out of the palm of the hand and is put in a functional opposition. The addition of a ring distal to the MP1 joint prevents hyperextension of the MP1 joint

We MP1 en IP Stabilisatiebrace (code 6004)

This brace provides stability to the thumb by preventing hyperextension of the MP1 joint and if needed the IP joint. If only the MP1 joints needs stabilization the distal ring is placed proximal of the IP-joint. The joint also receives bilateral support while allowing flexion. The MP1 joint is supported palmar.

The unique construction with the lateral support of this brace ensures that the brace cannot slide off the thumb. However in some cases a silver chain around the wrist can be added.
